How we keep every practice question aligned with the official California codes and avoid uncited or unverified practice content.
Each question goes through two independent automated verification passes that cross-check the prompt, answer, and rationale against the underlying California code sections before anything is published to a live exam.
We convert the 1,000-plus page codebooks into structured, searchable markdown, preserving section numbers and headings. Questions must cite a specific section, and those citations are re-validated whenever the underlying source text or blueprint changes.
Senior inspectors and plans examiners periodically review question sets flagged by the audit engine. Their feedback is logged, versioned, and fed back into our templates so future items align with both the letter and the spirit of the California codes.
If you believe an item conflicts with a current California code section, you can report it directly from the question interface. We pause that item, re-run the full verification review, and escalate to human experts when needed before restoring or permanently retiring it.
